Dr. Wonseok Jang

Periodontist & Founder

Dr. Wonseok Jang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, with advanced training in implant systems and periodontal therapy. He earned his DDS from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and both his MDS and Certificate in Periodontics from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.

As an Assistant Professor at Rutgers, Dr. Jang leads courses in periodontics and implant surgery and mentors students in both surgical and nonsurgical techniques. He’s a published researcher, inventor, and lecturer whose work includes innovative implant systems and AR-based surgical methods. His philosophy at Sunny Dental Care centers on clarity, compassion, and precision; offering patients care that blends science, artistry, and trust.

Periodontist & Founder

Dr. Changmin Richard Yim

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Yim is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon trained at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.A. in Biological Basis of Behavior cum laude with honors distinction and a D.M.D. from Penn Dental Medicine. He completed his OMFS residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the U.S. military’s flagship medical center often called “the President’s Hospital,” and later served as Assistant Program Director for Walter Reed’s OMFS residency.

After 10 years of service in the U.S. Army and an honorable discharge, Dr. Yim joined Rutgers School of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a distinction awarded only to surgeons whose training, qualifications, and ethical conduct meet the rigorous standards of the ACS. He speaks English and Korean and is devoted to patient care, safety, and satisfaction at every visit.

Outside the office, you’ll find him cycling along 9W in New Jersey or chasing fresh snowfall around the world.

Dr. Jonathan Kim

General Dentist

Dr. Jonathan Kim is a licensed general dentist in New York and New Jersey. He studied biology and psychology at Carnegie Mellon University before earning his DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, followed by a General Practice Residency at BronxCare Health System.

Dr. Kim believes great care starts with listening. He tailors every treatment to each patient’s needs, ensuring a calm, informed experience. A passionate lifelong learner, he regularly pursues continuing education and participates in global mission trips to deliver care in underserved communities. Dr. Kim is fluent in English and Korean.

Dr. Jonathan Kim

Dr. Sookyeong Park

General Dentist

Dr. Sookyeong Park brings over 20 years of experience and a reputation for gentle, precise care. She earned her DDS, MSc, and PhD from Seoul National University School of Dentistry, where she also completed a three-year residency in Endodontics and later served as a clinical professor. She later earned her DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Park focuses on preserving natural teeth through advanced endodontic and restorative treatments. Her background in research and teaching drives her commitment to patient education and continued learning. Known for her calm chairside manner, Dr. Park helps patients feel at ease, even during complex procedures.

Dr. Daejin Michael Kim

General Dentist

Dr. Daejin Kim is a compassionate general dentist with a strong background in comprehensive patient care. A graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, he completed his General Practice Residency at Jersey City Medical Center. Before joining Sunny Dental Care, he practiced as a Lead General Dentist, mentoring colleagues and ensuring consistent clinical quality.

Dedicated to community service, Dr. Kim has volunteered locally and abroad, and his achievements include the Army Commendation Medal and the Eugene Leake Award. His approach combines empathy, education, and precision, helping every patient feel confident about their care.

Dental Hygienist

Daysi has been part of the dental field for over a decade, beginning as a dental assistant before earning her degree as a registered dental hygienist from The New York College of Technology. She joined Sunny Dental Care in 2019 and is passionate about educating patients on oral health and helping them feel comfortable at every visit.

Annie Tang

Dental Hygienist

Annie brings over 20 years of dental experience, beginning as an assistant before pursuing dental hygiene at NYU and Fones School of Dental Hygiene. She’s passionate about patient education and community outreach, blending deep technical knowledge with a caring, individualized approach. Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Meryam Moudni

Dental Hygienist

Meryam combines technical skill with warmth and empathy. A graduate of New York College of Technology, she’s certified in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and infection control. She takes time to explain each step of care, ensuring every patient feels informed, relaxed, and confident in their smile.
